About this Recipe

I love silken tofu and have been surprised that many folks don’t know what to do with it. Here’s my mom’s preferred way to prepare silken tofu. It’s perfect for a hot summer day—no cooking required.

  • 1 block of silken tofu
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 scallion
  • Toasted sesame oil or soy sauce or tamari or liquid aminos or coco aminos

  1. Remove tofu from package and put on dish or bowl.
  2. Mince 2 garlic cloves, thinly chop 1 scallion (green onion), and put both on top of tofu.
  3. Drizzle toasted sesame oil, soy sauce (or any equivalent such as tamari, liquid aminos, coco aminos), and let it drip down over sides of tofu.
  4. That’s it—dig in with a spoon or chopsticks!
